Rip that IKEA poster off your wall. Seriously. Do it.

You know what I’ve noticed? A few years ago, my art was selling like crazy on Catawiki. It was a time when everything felt possible — people were investing in real, original pieces. But then… corona hit. And ever since, it’s like everyone’s holding onto their cash like it’s gold. Understandable. We’ve got an economic crisis looming and a never-ending fear fest with the whole Russia-Ukraine situation.
The result? Platforms like Catawiki are full of bargain hunters. People want champagne for beer money. But hey — I pour my soul into every single piece I create. And let’s not forget the cut platforms take. What’s left for the artist who also needs to put food on the table? Exactly. Not much.
And I’m done with that.
Too many folks are hanging mass-produced posters from some Swedish furniture store while original, handmade art — created with love, guts, and a touch of madness — goes unnoticed. That has to change.
So I switched things up. I took my past styles — realism, abstraction, metal leaf — and threw them together in the blender. What came out?
Pop art with an edge.
And the best part? Everything is under €100.
Yep. For just €75, you can have an original Debbie on your wall. No middlemen, no commissions. Just you and me. Raw, real art.
Win-win, right?
So yeah — rip that IKEA poster down and make room for the real deal.
